Card Catalogue

Pictured here is the antique card catalogue that has served Bixby Library well for many years. We are presently still using this card catalogue but are also in the process of updating to an automated computerized system.

An automation committee along with the Bixby staff is working on the necessary steps needed to make this happen. They have acquired several scanners and met numerous times with our state library consultant and a plan is in the works. It will take time for library staff to prepare for the new system. When we get to the point where we are ready for the transition we will need numerous community volunteers to help. More information will be coming your way as we find our way through this new, much needed venture.
